Sandy Askins

Sandy Askins is a Junior majoring in political science and art history. She is an education intern and student guide at the Carlos Museum, helping organize and run events such as Sunday FUNday and Student Night. Sandy is also a Community Building and Social Change Fellow. Through this fellowship, she worked with We Love Buford Highway to implement a Community Ambassador Program and create a government and community calendar spanning three municipalities. She is also the vice president of operations in the Chinese Undergraduate Student Organization, president of Emory’s Science.Art.Wonder, a political science research assistant, and an IDEAS fellow. Her academic interests include the intersection of civic engagement and affordable housing, the connection between art and politics, and public policy.
