Daisy Cossio Garcia

Daisy Cossio Garcia (she/her) is a Mexican-American first-generation student at Emory University, Class of 2025. She is pursuing a double major in Philosophy, Politics, Law (B.A.), and Quantitative Sciences with a concentration in Architecture (B.S.), following the Pre-Law track. Her academic interests include research on criminal courts, education policies affecting minority groups, immigration versus migration, prison reforms, and mobilization policies for impoverished populations. She is particularly interested in exploring the position and narrative of immigrant communities in American society through a socio-political lens during local and general elections. Daisy hopes to leverage her background in community advocacy and data analytics in the course and looks forward to creating effective, solution-based data visualizations.
