Angel Sosa
Angel is a third-year student at Emory majoring in Political Science. He is an intern with the Emory Votes Initiative, a program within the Center for Civic and Community Engagement at Emory committed to providing nonpartisan voter information, increasing voter participation, and promoting a more civically engaged campus. Angel also serves as the Politics and Social Justice Chair for the Emory Latinx Student Organization, focusing on civic participation within the Latinx population. This summer, Angel researched Latinx voter turnout with Professor Bernard Fraga, which he hopes to continue in the Imagining Democracy Lab. Angel’s academic interests include Latinx studies, political participation, and immigration courts.
